The Coast
The brief
The property developers of this new high-end development - a semi-detached property on Norfolk's coast - approached us to create a unique, high-quality, luxurious kitchen that would stand out from other properties on the market, elevating the home and aiding in its sale.
The design
A timeless kitchen and living space inspired by nature. The soft geometric island serves as the hero piece in this beautiful kitchen, featuring a striking quartz sculpted under-bar detail with tonal green and grey veining to complement the furniture colour. The island houses undermounted sinks, a Quooker tap, dishwasher, and an all-in-one extractor induction hob, creating a central, sociable working area with bar seating.
The tall bank on the perimeter provides impressive storage capacity. A bespoke curved wall with a built-in pantry and recycled cold shelves maximises dry food storage while blending seamlessly into the design, giving the impression of being part of the architecture. A dovecote wine rack integrates with the freestanding American-style fridge freezer and connects to a tall crockery store cupboard with plentiful, adjustable shelving. The design then steps down to midi-height oven housing with a worktop shelf and base cabinetry. This variation in heights adds visual interest, increases the feeling of space, and provides additional, valuable worktop space for oven put-down and serving.

A curved, open-end base shelf unit adds elegance and gives the perimeter run a more unfitted appearance.
Carrara quartz was selected for the worktops and upstands, offering a soft backdrop that allows the feature stone to truly stand out. The green of the Farrow & Ball Treron, used throughout the furniture, creates a cohesive, fresh, and contemporary palette, enhanced by matt black disc knob handles.
Adjacent to the kitchen, a matching 'Bootility' room ensures design continuity. This space includes stowaway washing and drying machines, a bespoke comms cupboard for the manifolds, meters, and controls, a tall broom cupboard, a shaped hardwood slatted bench, a Sheila Maid hanging rack, welly racks, shaker pegs, and a traditional butler's sink.
