As a family-run high-end kitchen company, each member brings their unique expertise and dedication to create truly exceptional kitchens.
Founder and head designer Mick Murphy has been designing kitchens for over 40 years, while Natalie is a former student of renowned kitchen designer Johnny Grey. Together, the father-daughter team combines vision, flair, and experience to transform ideas into show-stopping kitchens.

How we work
As a handmade kitchen company, our process begins with a personalised consultation to understand your vision. This is followed by bespoke collaborative design, material selection, and colour consultation. After detailed planning, our craftsmen create your kitchen with precision, and our team installs every element seamlessly.
Once we have delivered and installed your kitchen, we’re always here to support you with an aftercare service that makes us both rare and proud. Your dream kitchen is built to last a lifetime - and we’re here to ensure it does.

As a small family team, we proudly deliver what we call ‘The Kitchens Etc. Experience’: a unique process resembling a concierge-style service. Rooted in traditional values, exceptional customer service, and outstanding value, this approach is one we are both proud of and celebrated for.
With our hand-built kitchens, we strive to provide the finest service Norfolk has to offer. To ensure each project receives our undivided attention, we limit the number of commissions we take on each year.
We prioritise service over marketing, ensuring every client receives an experience like no other. To help you enjoy many happy years of use, we also offer exceptional after-sales care, so you get the most from your kitchen.

Our history
Husband and Wife, Co-founders Mick and Linda Murphy started the business in 1987 originally in Docking, moving to our North Creake premises in the mid-90s. Daughter Natalie officially joined the team in 2000 and is part of the father-and-daughter design duo.
Natalie is a former student of Johnny Grey’s groundbreaking Kitchen Design Degree course, graduating with Distinction in 2020. We are thrilled to continue collaborating with Johnny, who has been a major influence on our careers.
Natalie’s husband, Simon, our General Manager and Stone Workshop Foreman, joined the team in 2012. Together with our fitters, stonemasons, and cabinetmakers, this makes our small, tight-knit team.
Design is our passion so our approach is always design-led, not sales-led. We focus solely on the customer experience and taking you on an exciting and enjoyable journey. Collaboration is central to everything we do. By embracing diverse perspectives, ideas, and experiences, we ensure every project achieves the very best outcome. We collaborate closely with local companies to enhance and expand our service offerings.
Since 1987, we have grown into an award-winning business and have been recognised as finalists for prestigious honours, including the Local EDP Business Awards for Customer Care, Staff Care, Knowledge Pioneers, the Mayor’s Award for Business of the Year, and several design awards. Most notably, we were honoured as two-time finalists for ‘Showroom of the Year’ in 2023 and 2024, cementing our reputation as one of the UK’s best kitchen showrooms.
